The deep end of my mind

I'm Sam, I write poetry and other stuff sometimes.
Most people are given two parents at birth; and while yes, I had that I also gained a second mother. This is Janet, when I was five my biological mom carried her then youngest child into kindergarten both symbolically and literally handing her baby over to a stranger. Turns out that stranger would love me as much as her own three children.

Thirteen years later, I cling to the woman I used to accidentally call mommy as my biological mom slips away. Janet attends every important life event even though she was just my caretaker throughout elementary school; I credit her to some of my rearing. Presents are received on Christmas and birthdays or just because “her baby” is a senior in high school.

I love you mamma J. And you and mom did good with me. ♥
